Panthers Stock up at Deadline

The Pelham Panthers announced several transactions this past week in advance of last Friday’s GOJHL trade deadline. The Panthers acquired defensemen Luke Hill from the Espanola Paper Kings and Allan Watt from the Elliot Lake Vikings both of the NOJHL; and forwards Weslee Crosswell from the Hearst Lumberjacks of the NOJHL and Jacob Uhm from the Hamilton Kilty B’s. 

Hill, an 18 year old Thunder Bay native, has provided an impressive 4 goals and 16 assist through 31 games with Espanola, and was second in team defenceman scoring at the time of the acquisition. Last season, Hill spent time with both the Port Colborne Sailors and Elmira Sugar Kings. 

Watt, an 18 year old defensive defenceman out of Ajax, Ontario, collected a goal and 2 assists through 15 games with Elliot Lake before the team was forced to take an indefinite leave of absence last month. Last season, Watt picked up 2 goals and 13 assists through 44 games with the Iroquois Falls Storm also of the NOJHL.

Crosswell, a 6’2 17-year old from Newcastle, Ontario, has appeared in 14 games so far this season with Hearst. Last year, Croswell picked up a goal and an assist with the club, appearing in 8 games as a 16 year old.

Uhm, a 17 year old grit forward from Hamilton, has picked up a pair of goals and a pair of assists through 20 games with the Kilty B’s this season.
